Hi everyone! Today, for the “Claudia in Cucina” column, I want to share with you one of my favorite recipes and a truly mouth-watering dish: chili con carne. This dish is a must in my kitchen, and led me to explore the bold aromas and irresistible flavors of Texas, where this delight originates.
Chili con carne is one of my strong points, a dish that I have perfected over the years and that I can’t wait to share with you.
In this video, I’ll take you through every step of the preparation, and share with you all the secrets and tricks I’ve learned over time, ensuring your chili turns out delicious every time.
It will be a journey of flavor and tradition. My goal is to inspire you to try this recipe at home and experience the intense flavors of a chili con carne made with fresh produce and a love of cooking.
Here is the list of ingredients, watch the video for the procedure!
INGREDIENTS (for 4 people)
500 g minced beef
1 large onion chopped
1 red pepper diced
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 can (400 g) chopped tomato pulp
1 can (400g) black beans
300 ml broth (prepared with 300ml water + 1 cube of meat or vegetables + 1 tablespoon of tomato paste)
Spices per kilo (I use these)
Oil, salt, pepper to taste.
At the end of the video I will also reveal what the secret ingredient is that I use to give my chili con carne even more flavor!
I’m sure that when you try this recipe, your palate will be overwhelmed by the robust flavors, and you will look forward to sharing this dish with your friends and family. It is perfect for winter evenings in front of the fireplace or for dinners with friends.
I recommend serving the chili accompanied by corn tortillas. You can add sour cream, grated cheddar or chopped chives as a garnish. We also like to enjoy it in a burrito.
To prepare it, I heat a corn tortilla, fill it with chili and a few spoonfuls of boiled risol then roll it up. If you want, you can also add cheese inside.
This chili con carne recipe is perfect for sharing with family and friends, and is ideal for winter evenings or parties. I hope this video inspires you to try making your own homemade chili con carne and enjoy the authentic taste of fresh produce.
