“How do I use saffron threads”? Since I started my saffron growing business, this is one of the questions I get asked most frequently!
I had already talked about how to use saffron pistils in one of the very first articles on the blog, and now it seemed like the right time to revisit the topic and make a video for my YouTube channel, in which I explain all the steps one at a time!
Using saffron pistils is much simpler than it seems, it just takes a little time: saffron pistils, in fact, need to be infused at least 40 minutes before preparing the recipe. For the infusion, you can use water, broth or milk, depending on the recipe you have chosen. Just remember that the liquid must be hot but not boiling: too high heat ruins the saffron!
In the video I also show you a trick to speed up infusion times and one to make the most of the scent of saffron. I hope I have intrigued you…you just have to watch it!
I hope I have been clear in my explanation: if you have any doubts, leave me your questions in the comments!
If you haven’t already done so, I hope I have made you want to try using saffron pistils instead of powdered saffron!
Have a nice day and see you in the next video!
